SMS Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 9, 2026
This page describes how text messaging (SMS) works on the TaxResOS platform. This is a general draft and should be reviewed by counsel before relying on it for carrier or regulatory compliance.
1. What this program is
TaxResOS is practice management software that tax resolution firms (Enrolled Agents, CPAs, and Tax Attorneys) use to run their own practice. One feature lets a firm send text messages to its own clients about that client's case — for example, a status update, a document request, or an appointment reminder.
TaxResOS is the messaging platform. The firm using TaxResOS is the one texting its client, about a case that client already engaged that firm to handle.
2. How consent works
A firm can only text a client through TaxResOS after marking that client as having agreed to receive text messages from the firm. TaxResOS does not add phone numbers or send messages on a firm's behalf without that firm's own record of consent.
Obtaining and documenting that consent, and complying with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and other applicable law in its own client communications, is each firm's responsibility as the sender.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies by case and firm — you may receive multiple messages during active periods of your case and none during quiet periods.
4. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
5. Opt-out and help
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages from that firm. Reply HELP for help.
You can also ask the firm directly to stop texting you, or update your contact preferences with them.
6. How this data is used and shared
Phone numbers and consent-to-text status are used only to send the case-related messages described above.
We do not sell phone numbers or SMS opt-in information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Contact
